A significant proportion of our work involves on-site soil testing and site investigation in order to determine the ground conditions likely to affect the construction and performance of existing and proposed footing systems, with the results used in the preparation of reports which enable the design and construction of footing systems for domestic and low rise commercial buildings. Soil reports form a very important part of the documentation required to obtain a building permit for any form of construction. 

Similarly, we undertake investigations to determine the underlying cause(s) of movement leading to damage or distress in low rise buildings and provide advice on the most appropriate method of repair.
